Continoom is a melodic Metal band from Budapest, Hungary with badass energy and a message for the world. The hard-hitting rockers deliver a unique fusion of groove Metal and Industrial electronic music. Their sound is defined by virtuosic musicianship and thought-provoking lyrics. They rock heavy, hard and have something to say.
The “never-resting innovator,” Peter Schrott is the driving creative and ideological force behind Continoom. The producer, songwriter, vocalist and sound engineer first formed the band in 2019. With their debut studio album “Not My War” the group quickly gained recognition at home in Hungary and around the world.
They recently released the album’s title track as a single and video. The song combines high-octane Metal with insanely tight musicianship and futuristic flashes of electronica. From the opening power of the drum and bass rumble to the fast breaks, full throttle smash and killer solo of the guitar, the band brings it. Their chops are matched only by their energy.
Lyrically the song is a straight-up protest anthem. Peter’s vocals wail with emotion, ranging from Megadeth growls to operatic howls and industrial grunge angst. The sentiment is real and palpable as he rages, “Get me out of this bang, bang, bang… It’s not my war!”
If social activism in Heavy Metal seems like a novel idea, it is not. Head bangers have been waving peace signs since the dawn of the genre. From Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” to Metallica’s “One,” metalheads have shared more in common with hippies than just a hairstyle. On “Not My War,” Continoom rocks pacifism like nobody’s business.
